About the Vermont Quarry
In the heart of Vermont's Green Mountains is the charming town of Chester. This historic stone village, standing now for over 200 years, is known for its unique stone buildings. These homes, schools, and churches are hewn from local granite that not only gives them an enduring beauty but a proven protection from Vermont’s harsh winters and hot summer days. StonesDirect provides these stones directly from these Vermont quarries. All wall stones are 6"-8" depth and come in varying thicknesses and sizes.
About the Colors:
CHESTER
Medium gray and blue granite with an occasional white quartz accent stripe running through the face.
RAVEN HILL
Our darkest stone, featuring deep almost black charcoal grays.
OLD CHESTER
Deeper grays with a heavy mica content giving an almost silvery appearance. Traces of greens and gold may appear.
CASTLETON
A broad range of earthy browns, creams, along with lighter grays and blues.
GRAFTON GREY
A unique blend of our deeper gray stones and darker gray micas.
WINDSOR BLEND
A blend combining our darkest and lightest colors. A true blend that brings the best from three separate quarries into a single product.
VERMONT BLEND
Our signature blend featuring and highlighting a broad range of earth tones along with a full spectrum of greys.
QUAKER HILL BLEND
A mix of the quarry's full color range of greys and tans.
Shipping & Returns
Shipping & Returns
Shipping costs are shown in your shopping cart after you've answered the shipping questions and entered your zip code. These rates are subsidized (discounted). If you are ordering over 10 tons, your shipment will require a flatbed truck and you will require a forklift or skid steer large enough to remove the stones from the truck. If you don't have access to a skidsteer, you can easily rent one from your local hardware store by the hour. If less than 10 tons, we will ship via LTL and the stones will be removed for you via a pallet jack.
As for returns, given the nature of stones, they are not returnable or refundable unless they are damaged during shipping.
