Perfect for pathways and patios our natural flagging brings a timeless dignity to your hardscape in a way that blends organically with your landscape. In the heart of Vermont's Green Mountains is the charming town of Chester. This historic stone village, standing now for over 200 years, is known for its unique stone buildings. Old Chester Granite. 

The darkest of the three stones we quarry, Old Chester Granite is deep gray and black with a mica shine. There is an occasional deep brown found as well. With many layers, and ability to be quarried in large sheets, it is ideal for flagging and patio stone. Chester provides an unparalleled beauty when used on a wall or as a veneer.

 Quaker Hill Blend

Includes a mix of the quarry's full color range of greys and tans.

Shipping & Returns

Shipping costs appear in your cart once you’ve answered the shipping prompts and entered your zip code—rates are subsidized for your savings. Ordering over 10 tons or pallets exceeding 1 ton? You’ll need a flatbed truck and a forklift or skid steer to unload (check weights below the quantity box on product pages). No equipment? No problem—rent a skid steer by the hour from your local hardware store. For orders under 10 tons and pallets below 1 ton, we ship via LTL, and the stones are offloaded for you with a pallet jack.

Returns? Due to their nature, stones are non-returnable and non-refundable unless damaged in transit.

1. Do you offer volume or contractor discounts?

Absolutely! Contractors, register here for your unique discount code and join our network for free leads and added benefits —call 1(800) 688-1796 to explore the perks. For high-volume orders (over 20 tons), request a custom quote with volume savings included.

2. Can I get a sample?

Yes! Email Support@stonesdirect.com with your desired product and shipping address. Samples are free, though shipping fees apply—we’ll credit that fee back if your order tops $2,500. Some samples are available online via the blue hyperlink below the “Add to Cart” button on product pages. Note: Samples are for color reference only.

3. Where do you ship, and how long does it take?

We ship across the United States and Canada. Delivery typically takes 1-8 weeks, depending on the season and other factors. Special orders may require extra time.

4. How much is shipping?

Our automated system compares hundreds of carriers to calculate shipping, which we subsidize for you. Answer a few quick questions in your cart to see the exact cost.

5. How do I figure out how much I need?

It’s simple! On the product page, input your face feet, square feet, or linear feet to calculate tonnage. For “per piece” items, use the average piece length to estimate how many you’ll need based on your measurements.

6. Can I pick up my stones?

Unless you’ve got a commercial vessel, quarry pickups aren’t an option—delivery is the way to go.

7. Do you provide installers?
