Keystone pins are inserted into the holes of retaining wall blocks to lock them together and provide stability. After placing the first course of blocks, align the holes, insert the pins, and then stack the next course so the pins fit into the bottom of the upper blocks. This helps interlock the layers and strengthens the wall structure.
