Keystone pins are used in segmental retaining walls to lock the blocks together and provide structural stability. After placing one course of blocks, insert the keystone pins into the designated holes, then align and stack the next course so the pins fit into the grooves of the upper block. This interlocks the blocks, preventing movement and increasing the wall's strength.
